Things To Do Before Summer Ends

Things To Do Before Summer Ends

Explore the region you love

It’s August, which means summer is unfortunately coming to an end. Whether that means sending the kids back to school or returning to the office, here are three things to do and try in Northern Kentucky before summer ends.

Jam out on the Levee

If you haven’t stopped by Newport on the Levee all summer, you’re missing out. There are plenty of new stores, restaurants and places to catch a drink.

Fortunately for you, there are still a few dates left for “Summer Music on the Levee,” where you can listen to bands and singers while you enjoy the Cincinnati skyline.

The event runs every Thursday from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. until Sept. 2. For more information, visit Newport on the Levee’s website.

Chill out on a rooftop bar

After spending a year in quarantine, we’re all eager to get outside and visit with our friends.

If spending a night drinking and looking at the stars sounds tempting, try visiting Braxton Brewing Co.’s rooftop bar in Covington.

The 5,000-square foot rooftop bar offers plenty of seating, an open lawn space, 20 beer taps, cocktails and plenty of amazing city views.

To learn more about the hours and COVID-19 restrictions, visit Braxton’s website.

Hangout with sharks

Finish your summer by overcoming your fear of sharks with Newport Aquarium’s #Shark Summer.

Home to Japanese Bull Heads and Blacktip Reef Sharks, Newport Aquarium is the Shark Capital of the Midwest! For those who are feeling brave, you can venture over the 75-foot-long Shark Bridge—a rope bridge suspended mere inches over a tank full of sharks.

For more information about tickets and hours, visit Newport Aquarium’s website.
