The annual event returns to the Campbell County Fort Thomas Branch

Looking for an evening of fun? The Campbell County Library has just what you need.

The annual “Art After Hours” returns on Friday, July 29 from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. at the Carrico/Fort Thomas Branch, which will close at 5:00 p.m. that evening to set up for the program.

17 artists will feature and discuss their work—with art ranging from pottery, woodwork, and painting. Select items will be available for purchase.

Some of the featured artists include Billy Tacket, Sharmon Davidson, Virginia Martinez, Bruce Crippen, and Heloise Bessé.

Cincinnati-based blues musician Ricky Nye will be rocking the night away with music. Guests can also enjoy snacks from Moonrise Doughnuts and floral arrangements from Fort Thomas Florist & Greenhouses. The event is free and open to the public. If you are still craving art after the event, hit up the Cincinnati Art Museum for “Art After Dark: Meet Me at the Speakseasy.” This monthly event allows guests to explore what the museum has to offer in an enhanced, unique way.

The event runs from 5:00 – 9:00 p.m. and features live jazz music from AfroChine, a cash bar, food for purchase, docent-led tours, free admission to the special exhibition “Joseph Urban: Unlocking an Art Deco Bedroom,” and a Ma Rainey-inspired performance from Cincinnati Shakespeare Company’s Candic Handy.
