Braxton Lab announced their closure Jan. 14, the new bar will focus on bourbon, spirits
Northern Kentucky’s iconic and beloved liquor store, The Party Source, is planning to open a new in-house bourbon bar, replacing the Braxton Lab in late spring or early summer.
The unnamed new bar, which will be located in the south end of the store, will offer patrons samples or full drinks of spirits. Party Source says the new bar will offer “the best selections of bourbon in the Greater Cincinnati area.” They also plan to build a full indoor event space where Braxton had its brewery equipment. “We are excited to finally have a space to hold educational tastings and events,” said Party Source Marketing Director Ali Daniels in a press release. “The brainstorming has already begun.”
Daniels also noted that Party Source is focusing on bourbon since “the brown water” is very popular in the Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky area.
The bar, although owned and operated by Party Source, will run on its own—with separate hours and identity from the main store.
Braxton Labs announced their closure Jan. 14. But don’t worry; there’s still plenty of Braxton locations throughout the region, including Braxton Covington, Rooftop, and Barrel House.
