 Reintroducing the Florence Y’alls

The Florence Y’alls kick off the season on May 29.

Fans can expect new changes for the 2021 season

Ready to enjoy baseball in person? The Florence Y’alls begins their inaugural Frontier League season on Saturday, May 29. According to President and CEO David DelBello, fans can expect a normal opening day at the ballpark—just with masks and social distancing.

Opening weekend is packed with plenty of fun for the family. On opening night, there will be fireworks, a band and plenty of beer for those aged 21+ to enjoy, DelBello says. Sunday, May 30 former Reds player Bronson Arroyo will visit the Y’alls to greet fans, sign autographs and perform with his band after the game.

The rest of the season will look like a normal Frontier League season, DelBello says, with 48 home games from the end of May to September. The fun doesn’t stop with opening weekend, however. There will be plenty of other events and activities throughout the season—like $2 Tuesdays, Thirsty Thursdays, Firework Fridays, Rockin’ Saturdays and Family Sundays. Other promotional nights will include Marvel Superhero nights, Bark in the Park and Christmas in July. For a full list of events, visit the Y’alls’ website.

DelBello is looking forward to getting back to normalcy and enjoying a baseball game with friends and family. DelBello says this season will be better than any other season.

“This is our first full year of operation as a new ownership group (and as the Y’alls), so fans will experience a ‘new’ atmosphere, culture of service and fun, concessions items and improvements to the ballpark,” DelBello says. It’s Y’all or nothing this year—we are going all out to ‘reintroduce’ NKY to its professional baseball team and its best summer entertainment destination.”
