Commonwealth Bank & Trust’s new branch bolsters Edgewood community presence
With the opening of its new branch at 591 Freedom Park Drive in Edgewood, Commonwealth Bank & Trust is not only closer to the community but has also improved its service as well. The new location opened in May, following a six-figure renovation of an existing building at the site.
“Commonwealth Bank & Trust is proud to restore the successful history of community banking at that corner,” says Corey Sidebottom, Northern Kentucky market president. “We believe the Edgewood community is going to really enjoy the service and expertise that our bankers provide to our clients.”
The branch was previously located at 160 Barnwood Drive, near Thomas More University.
“We are thrilled to be able to share our beautiful new location with residents and businesses in this community,” says Ann C. Wells, CEO of Commonwealth Bank. “As a customer-centric financial institution, we believe the new technology, attentive staff and efficiency of the new location are a great fit for the personal and business banking needs of the area.”
As a full-service bank, Commonwealth Bank will offer the Edgewood community traditional in-branch services, as well as easy-to-use online and mobile banking options. It has two interactive teller machines for quick and easy banking through its drive thru. Services include personal and business banking, commercial lending, commercial real estate lending, private banking, wealth management, trust services and mortgage lending.
“And for those seeking personal service or advice, our doors are always open,” says Sidebottom. “We look forward to building many long-lasting relationships with Edgewood residents.”
In addition to Sidebottom, the branch’s management team includes Audra Kordenbrock as the branch manager/business development officer and Lori Burdine as a commercial lender. Appointments can be made for private banking and wealth management services with other members of the bank’s extended, knowledgeable team as well.
“Our philosophy is to build a team of bankers around your relationship to provide the highest level of service,” Sidebottom says. “We will give you the same advice, service and attention we would give our own families. Our skilled staff of banking experts always has your best interests at heart, and we take pride in fostering your success.
“What I admire most about our team is the level of commitment with which they approach every customer. To us, even the smallest accounts matter and, quite honestly, some of these clients are our biggest community advocates.”
While it offers personable service, Commonwealth does have some pretty serious business assets. Commonwealth Bank & Trust Company has over $1.1 billion in bank assets, along with $2.2 billion in trust assets. The company is headquartered in Louisville and currently operates 14 retail branches in Jefferson and Shelby counties and two branches in Northern Kentucky, including the new Edgewood location and another at 7135 Houston Road in Florence.
“Our roots are in Kentucky, and we plan to keep it that way,” says Sidebottom. “Our decisions are made locally by people who know you, your family and your business.
“We take pride in being a locally-owned, private bank.”
