Parades, shows and more to kickoff Pride Month

Northern Kentucky’s LGBTQ+ community and its allies are set to kick off Pride Month at NKY Pride 2025 this weekend. A multi-day celebration, the festival culminates in the annual parade and festival on Sunday, June 1. Organized by the NKY Pride Center, this year’s events promise community and entertainment alike in the heart of Covington. 

May 29: The kickoff to NKY Pride 2025 will take place at Braxton Brewing Co. in Covington at 7 p.m. The event will feature a drag show on the brewery’s rooftop hosted by Molly Mormen. In addition to the show, Braxton will release a new beer from their archival series: the Strawberry Kiwi Lager.  

May 31: Shop for this year’s Pride merchandise at the Pop-Up Shop at the NKY Pride Center from 11 a.m.- 2 p.m. This year’s merch, which was designed by BLDG, an NKY-based brand, features shirts, hats, pins and more. 

June 1: The main events begin with the NKY Pride Parade at 12 p.m., starting at Sixth and Madison and proceeding through downtown Covington to MainStrasse Village ending at W. Sixth and Main Street. Also kicking off at noon is the NKY Pride Festival at Goebel Park will feature vendors, performances and plenty of activities. The celebration continues with the Official After Party at Hotel Covington from 5 p.m., showcasing drag performances and music.
