Park Pointe development takes advantage of an expansive vista
The drive up Interstate 75 from Covington into Cincinnati is arguably one of the finest cityscape vistas in the nation. Covington, the John A. Roebling Suspension Bridge and the Queen City seem to explode into view out of nowhere. At night, it’s a rainbow of colors and shapes that both intrigue the mind and set into motion the imagination.
As the curtain goes up on the new Park Pointe development, you can enjoy that same kind of dramatic scene every day.
Built by Joshua One on 27.7 acres between the Covington and Park Hills border, Park Pointe is a $70 million-plus single home community that sits on a rise overlooking Covington, the Riverfront and Cincinnati.
The entrance is in Park Hills, but actually spreads into Covington as well.
The development is being represented by Chris Kennedy and Tasha Kalbor-Flood of Sibcy-Cline Realtors.
“There are a total of 72 single family home sites in the development,” says Kennedy. “The view is second to none in Greater Cincinnati. It sits on what used to be an old vocational school property—higher up than anyone else in the area. We overlook the river valley, downtown Cincinnati and the Ohio River.”
The homes here are just starting to come up out of the ground, says Kennedy, with seven built and six more in the development stage as of press time, although that latter number is sure to be on the increase.
“We just held our grand opening weekend, and we had a lot of activity over the following weeks,” says Kennedy. “Now that people are getting an understanding of the type of home we are offering and the price ranges, we’re seeing a lot more interest.”
With homes starting in the $800,000 range and moving up to $1.1 million and possibly beyond, Park Pointe is a decidedly upscale community.
“We are targeting a more upscale consumer,” Kennedy admits. “But we’re also getting a pretty wide demographic. We’re speaking with folks who have children going to nearby Covington Catholic School or Notre Dame. We have several retirees. And we are talking to people who have a couple of kids in college. So from that standpoint, we are probably not going to get the younger buyer with a younger kids or family.
“This is a unique opportunity for them to get in a community with a view that has never before been offered in the immediate Northern Kentucky area.”
There are several different homes design being offered at Park Pointe, with plenty of latitude for perspective buyers in terms of home customization.
