Skyline, museums and more
If you did not make it to the Cincinnati Reds’ first game of the season in Atlanta on April 7, don’t worry. You can still celebrate with the rest of the Greater Cincinnati Region on the Reds’ first home game on April 12.
If you didn’t join in on the Findlay Market Opening Day Parade, here’s how to show your hometown baseball team some love like a true local.
What better way to kick off a season of baseball than by eating the official chili of the Cincinnati Reds? That’s right—we’re getting our coney on at everyone’s favorite restaurant, Skyline Chili.
Chow down on a delicious Cheese Coney with rich mustard, diced onions, shredded cheddar cheese, and—of course—Skyline’s iconic chili. Still feeling hungry? Nothing says ‘Cincinnati’ quite like a Skyline 3-Way.
Whatever you choose, you’ll feel like a true local celebrating your hometown team.
Visit the Cincinnati Reds Hall of Fame and Museum
If you’re a Reds fan, you’ve got to visit the Cincinnati Reds Hall of Fame and Museum. The Hall of Fame is jam-packed full of Reds history, memorabilia, and exhibits that will transport you to the world of baseball.
Stroll through the Timeline Exhibit to learn about the Reds from 1876 to the present. The First Nine Exhibit highlights the history of the 1869 Red Stockings and features some of the museum’s oldest artifacts. Reds Baseball Then & Now Exhibit compares the differences and similarities between America’s favorite sport from its early days to the present.
Give yourself an hour or two to visit the museum and cheer on your favorite team by learning about its history.
Hours and admission may vary. Check the website or call before visiting.
Just because you can’t catch the first home game of the season doesn’t mean you can’t go to a game at all. There is nothing quite like visiting Great American Ball Park and watching a Reds game in person.
Grab your tickets for the season, pick up a hot dog and some peanuts, and enjoy your day rooting for the Reds.
