Carabello Coffee creates events and classes all built around coffee 

Carabello Coffee in Newport is hosting an array of classes and events for people who are looking to grow their barista skills or other crafting skills while sipping on coffee.  

Some of these classes and events are called Coffee & Crafts, Coffee Mocktails 101 and Latte Art Basics. In the upcoming months, Carabello is hosting two different Coffee & Crafts classes. This is where the community can bring out their creativity, while drinking hot coffee, tea and iced lattes that are included in the ticket price. Carabello also provides all the art supplies needed for each of the classes. 

One such class leans in on the art of collage and multimedia. According to Carabello Coffee’s website, the class will focus on collage and mixed media techniques, allowing students to explore their creativity and experiment with various materials. They will provide a variety of approaches, guidance and inspiration, but still encourage individual expression.  

In March, Carabello will be having another class that focuses on printmaking. During this class, students will learn the basics skills of lino block carving and printing. Carabello will cover everything from designing your block to transferring your image to paper, according to its website.  

Along with events, Carabello Coffee has coffee mocktail classes and latte art classes. In the coffee mocktail class, students learn to make two coffee bases mocktails, one tea and one zero proof, along with learning the basics of making infused simple syrups and how to make tea and cold brew for mixing.  

The latte art class is designed to help people achieve their latte art goals and goes over the basics. According to the website, all experience levels are welcome. This class is meant for anyone who wants the fun experience of trying to pour a latte or cappuccino like a barista does, according to the cafe. Experienced individuals from the coffee industry are also welcome.
