These Northern Kentucky bars are offering reservable outdoor igloos this winter
One of the best remaining facets from the pandemic are igloos. More specifically, outdoor heated and private igloos at local bars and breweries. For a fee, you can reserve an igloo and spend the night with up to seven of your closest friends without missing out on sights of the city. Especially in the winter, just being somewhat outside without freezing can be a godsend. Check out these Northern Kentucky bars and breweries where igloos are warming up visitors.
Braxton Brewing Company
For $35, you and up to seven of your friends can comfortably enjoy a night under the stars on Braxton Brewing Company’s rooftop in Covington. Coined as the IGLOOBAR, each igloo features cushioned seating, a dedicated Bluetooth speaker upon request and cozy decor. Each reservation gets you a 2.5-hour time slot, and you can enjoy food from Dewey’s and an array of beverages from Braxton’s extensive menu.

Frosthaus
Also in Covington, you can check out Frosthaus and spend an evening on its patio in your very own igloo. Reservations are seasonal and available now until March 9. Up to eight adults and kids can enjoy an afternoon or night for $25 and up to 2 hours. All afternoon slots have a tab minimum of $75 and all evening slots have a minimum of $100, but with Frosthaus’s extensive food and drink menu and eight people, you won’t have any trouble meeting the minimum.

Kon-Tiki at Bridgeview Box Park
Kon-Tiki at Bridgeview Box Park has turned into a fire lounge this winter with its six reservable heated igloos and winter tiki-themed cocktail menu. These igloos can hold up to eight guests and can be rented for a two-hour period with a $100 minimum tab for weekday nights and weekend days and $200 for weekend nights. Guests are required to be on one tab and a 20% gratuity will be added. With a view of the Cincinnati skyline, guests can enjoy drinks along with a personal sound system, board games, blankets, Bluetooth speakers, lounge seating, contactless ordering and adjustable heat controls. Kon-Tiki doesn’t manage the igloos, though, so make sure to contact Newport on the Levee.
